Brooklyn-based confectionary brand Alphina approached Limone to create a wholesome and approachable brand identity for their introduction to the New York market.
Alphina’s custom wordmark utilizes a brush script font that pays homage to 70’s typography and embodies Alphina’s fun, homey baking vibe.
We chose a classic emblem to build trust with consumers by displaying when and where the company was established. We also created a version of the emblem that incorporates a bountiful landscape with mountains and a river to create depth and honor nature.
Alphina’s color palette consists of primary, secondary, and accent colors. The primary colors are cooler tones found in nature and are known for their calming effect. Their unique earth tones align with Alphina’s values, specifically sourcing clean ingredients and accountable sustainability.
The secondary colors are tints of the primary colors and allow for a cohesive expansion of colors. The accent colors are used to enhance and emphasize by adding a pop of color. We decided to work with three color palettes so the brand always stays fresh, relevant, and can have variation across campaigns and products.
